I don't think Averitt hires ants. Therefore no ant drivers.

Hi redneck I live close to Cookville Tn. Ive been trying to chat with some Averitt drivers on the cb and it appears up here none of them get on channel 19 or they dont reply to any questions about the company or anything else when asked. Anyways just curios about starting pay, types of runs and where majority of runs are, types of miles and benefits. I went to the Averitt web page but would like one of their drivers to break it down in reality. If you feel like sharing id appreciate it. I drive a local gas truck up here a class b truck but i have a class a license with 2 1/2 years otr experience. I wanted to be home more so i stepped down from otr. Up in this area theres not a whole lot of decent paying jobs.

I am starting with Averitt in a couple weeks. Will be working out of the Cleveland, OH terminal. I got a bit over 6-mos OTR experience. During my phone conversations they told me I would get $0.37/mile. But on the CAD Profile it states:

"Drivers with more than
two years experience start out at 37 cpm.
The top-out pay is 40.5 cpm and can be reached in 36 months.
- Drivers with a minimum
six months up to two years experience start out at 33 cpm. After 12 months of service the rate of pay
increases to 37 cpm."

I hope I didn't screw myself, because I turned down a dedicated account with another company at $0.38/mile.

I better call Averitt Monday to confirm the pay. The only thing in writing I have gotten from them is my airline ticket to Nashville.

I'd really like to know what to expect at orientation, and what the road test is like.

Any help information out there??????????
