am signing on with a dedicated account for jbhunt 38cpm and home two days a week was a strong selling point but would like to hear from other current drivers as what i should expect....i know i will be tailgating the loads and i am paid 20 a stop and 25 to drop and hook the backhaul....the recruiter puts the miles at an average of 2200+ a week a little lower than my old average but 10cpm and home time has value to me too.....would like to know the good and the bad thx....

That being said, if your happy with the pay, and 2200 miles / week is good for you, then you will like it. Every driver I have talk to who was on a dedicated account liked their job, and the account they were on. If they tell you at orientation that they need you to go OTR, walk out. If they keep their word, and give you this account, you should do good. I have seen drivers who got to orientation thinking that they are getting a dedicated account, just to be told that they would have to go OTR. DON'T LET THIS HAPPEN TO YOU. Good luck. You were warned. Let us know what happens either way.

Go to the Jb hunt website. Click on Careers and then Driving Careers, and then search jobs. If the job is still open for hiring all the info about average pay for that job will be there. Its pretty accurate. The recruiter should be telling you exactly the same thing that is on that page.

I've seen the posting online and spoke with the the lady (Cary) in charge of DCS orientation in Atlanta but I was hoping to speak with a current driver on that account. Seems like that would give me a little more info than just average weekly pay, miles, stops, etc.
