Been there done that, everyone has been pretty much honest with you. Your last post hit me wrong, man you have to get out of that attitude! You are right about the recidivism, but if you can`t do the time staying out of the joint, then you aint trying!. Now out here in Ca. there are " dirt " -" rock " hauler's local but they hire students because not a lot of people will work for what they pay. Also agriculture-from the field to the processor, out here they will hire just a bout anyone! Won`t the school you went to Guarantee to find you a job ? Good Luck

Have you tried local dump trucks? or maybe local delivery? for some small companies looking to fill a seat it may not be a problem IF you own up to what you've done, you don't need to volunteer the felony, but if asked be honest and own up to your mistake, don't try to justify your actions just admit your mistake and that you've learned from it. I drove for a gravel hauler who never asked nor did he care, only that I could drive and be legal/safe, now enough time has passed that I can even get into Canada.
$8000 for school!!!   I paid half that at a PTDI school and they offer lifetime placement assistance.

You still owe $8,100? Whiskey Tango Foxtrot? Is that in U.S. dollars or small green feathers? For that kind of money, a school should be able to teach even me to back up a trailer, and speak French with a perfect accent.

Did they do any sort of interview with you before you signed the papers with them? Were they aware of your record? If they were, I'd continue to pester their employment department.

Man I think that you are just out of luck!. I don't want to be negative or anything, but you just need to do something else. I know that everyone makes mistakes. Lord knows I have made mine! Just keep your nose clean and one day you may get to drive! BOL

12 years ago I recieved an assault 2 charge for a fight I was involved in. I got a job right out trucking school, but that was back in 96. Since 9/11 I think most violent felonies are going to be hard pressed to get any kind of respectable driving job. Good luck and keep looking, most important of all is to keep your nose clean.
