You're pretty much s.o.l until your felony is 10 years old, You might be able to get on with an o/o, but it will be hard for ya to find work

Yep
Better make plans to work at Waffle House til your record is clear.

About the only thing that will help at this point is the passage of time. Some carriers will give you a chance after 5 years have passed as long as nothing else happens. Most will require from 7-10 years. If you had experience it would be a bit easier to find employment. The problem you have is finding a carrier who can insure you without experience. I would check with some smaller carriers and companies who run their own trucks. Unfortunately, your options will likely be limited until more time passes. You may need to find something else until more time goes by.

Another issue you might have is some carriers will look at what the felony was, too. Violent felonies will usually get you a permanent "no" regardless of how far back it was. Non-violent ones like child support, forgery, tax evasion, etc., will sometimes be overlooked.

pretty much sum's it up,the only way you might get into truckin is with a OutLaw Outfit and you would have to run illegal and all the BBR stuff.
Also about as close you may come to trucks is working at some sort of
warehouse or big DC.or change and do the damm burger thing i wouldn't wish that on my worse enemy. Good Luck

Working for a outlaw company might even be hard to get on with for insurance reasons if you do get on with a company DONT EVEN THINK ABOUT TRYING TO TAKE A LOAD INTO CANADA!! Not trying to be smart here but you might not want to tell a company that might want to hire you that you go by the name "pitbull"! Also another thing that might hold you back a bit is I dont think you will be able to get a haz-mat endorsement some companys will hire without it but alot require it,maybe try lookinging at local companys driving a straight truck or day cab.

Uh, perhaps you may want to consider another line of work ? Since 9/11 everyone's just a little sensitive about violent felonies...."home invasion", felony assault ?-please look for something else. There's enough road rage, we don't need you and your temper. "Pitbull", seems like you really learned something....HazMat ? No way on God's green earth....http://www.hazmatprints.com Read it and see for yourself...
