Fuel haulers in Florida

You can also look in this forum(What about this trucking company?), and look at the "Tanker info for yall" thread. There are bookoos of tanker companies in Florida in that thread. Good Luck.

I'm not sure where in Central florida you're looking to relocate, but if you're coming towards the tampa area you'll have a lot of options. I see mainly Kenan, Florida Rock and Tank Lines, Pipeline, and Penn Tank lines, there's also quite a few little independents who run a few trucks and tanks, Florida Rock has been running ads lately in the sunday papers advertising a 2000 dollar sign on bonus and what not, if any other questions feel free to ask, i might be able to help.

I am looking towards the tampa area. What about Shell and BP. Do you know anything about energy dispatch. I saw an ad for them as well. I guess all they do are the Race Trac gas stations. Are there decent local driving jobs other than tank. I need to be in the 18+hr range. I dont want to move there and then find out I cant make more than 12/hr locally. I appreciate your help. thanks

I was going to mention energy dispatch also, and yes as far as i understand they only deliver to RaceTrac, you also might want to look in to Justin Davis, they have nice trucks, are out of the tampa area, and as far as i know pay well. The good thing about tampa is that the port is right there, and that's where the majority of the fuel for the central east coast comes from. The pay in florida is not so great, but being in Tampa you'll have a little better chance of finding decent money, look in to Southeastern freight, they advertise something like 19.50 to start, also Con-Way has a local division based out of Tampa, the fact that you're in tampa will open more opportunities to you, but again be aware that the pay in Florida is not adequate with the cost of living, it's strange, ever since our hurricane season of '03, costs for renters, home owners insurance, and everything else involved with real esate has been skyrocketing, but the pay for drivers has not reflected the recent hike in the cost of living, best of luck whatever you choose.

What he said is 100% true..... SO, before you make a move to just about anywhere in FL.....it would be best to do some real estate MLS searches and see if you want to bite off the cost of a home down here. Home owners insurance is "difficult" at best to get, as many companies are not writing policies, and property taxes have gone up.
The pay in FL compared to cost of living, well....the word "sucks" comes to mind. Thats why I stay OTR.
