But you know, everybody does get tired of hearing me bash Jb hunt. Let's face it, I'm a disgruntal ex-employee of that company. So, one could conclude that I was not happy with that job. Low miles, low pay, lots of sitting. I would go on, but who cares? Now, just because it didn't work out for me, doesn't mean it won't for you. The worst that could happen is that it doesn't work for you, either. Good Luck.

I spent almost 10 months with JB Hunt based from Nashville and I was fired for too many lane management violations. I enjoyed my time there. It was my first OTR, I've had much better since, but JB Hunt took my years of local experience (heavy haul, night work, etc) and actually counted it toward my starting pay. That was different than others like US Xpress.
That's two.

Just to say Sheepdancer .. this is evidence that the larger the company -- the better the feedback loops must be to enforce a fair company policy. It only takes one bad employee. It used to be 1 dissatisfied customer would tell 10. Now with the internet, that dissatisfied person can tell millions and all at once. So one bad DM creates say 20 disgruntled employees, and you have an Urban Legend. Management has to be smart and put controls or hire workers that do not use the Internet.

You guys should be ashamed of yourselves banging up on poor ol' JB like that. Well, I guess a reputation is something you just can't live down in
this industry. As for myself, I'd rather flip burgers than drive for them. Let's just say that this is our "DAC" and JB has a terrible print out, and disqualified for most of us. Hey, it's a two way street!

Hey, it's a two way street! Problem is, most drivers, myself included, tend to ignore these boards, and hope for the best.....just to find themselves back on these boards, telling their tales of woe.... I have learned my lesson....I will not ignore these boards any longer. And BTW, it is always nice to hear something positive a driver has posted. Even if it's about JB.
