Why couldnt you get a dedicated job out of your area? Do you live in some place weird? We have 1000s of dedicated jobs that open up all the time.
It might not have been a lie. Lots of times I have dedicated jobs open up and I get out my driver database and start calling those areas. My phone message goes something like this. "Hey I had a dedicated job just open up in your area, I only need 2 drivers...>CALL ME BACK ASAP"
Unfortunately, drivers dont always check their voice mail that often, so by the time they call me back the job is filled. Sometimes I have dedicated jobs that are open for a week or so, Sometimes I have dedicated jobs that are open for 5 minutes.

I noticed your handle is "Cavemansgirl"; perhaps instead of driving a truck, your fiancee should be making GEICO commercials!!

each time I was told that you have to hire on and then be put on the list to get a dedicated run which is not what they say when they call.

Hmmm...nope. "JB Hunts sucks a$$!" has that nice ring to it. And besides, it helps the sheepster out....every time I rant about Jb Hunt, he get all kinds of people wanting to work there. The only problem I see is I don't get a recruiting bonus...... :evil: :twisted: :P :lol: :lol: :lol:

What a JOKE, good dedicated jobs don't become available by the 1000's. by any carrier. The best dedicated jobs are with the LTL companies. If it is with an OTR company it is only dedicated till the customer finds a better rate.

When I dispateched for CF I had a 33 year driver who had been running the same run for 10 plus years, now that is dedicated. If it is a good dedicated run it will not come open all the time.

OTR dedicated runs are way over rated and not very dependable.

A word of caution to the new guys, when a recruiter says they have 1000's of dedicated jobs all the time, you better put on the hip waders cause it is gettin' deep.[/quote]

cavemansgirl tell him to ask about the walmart account its out of johnstown ny we run that way alot if he can get on it he will be gone 5 days home 2 and as for cluggy let him run his mouth he is just a good old jb basher

Here we have a JB driver who is on a dedicated job, has been here for awhile and is very happyand would tell you that dedicated walmart run is very reliable.

Now...if I was a driver, which one would I believe. The angry driver or the happy driver?

i just find it funny how he always bashes jb but most of his facts arent right its funny how i was on the walmart account last yr and still amand made good money doubled my pay from my job before and they also take out the right taxes on me and i didnt have a problem filing my taxes and im getting money back most just bash jb to get a rise out of sheepdancer but like i said get the facts right before u run your mouth and yes im very happy on the walmart account and if you cavemansgirl want to ask me any questions drop me a email
