I received confirmation today from Crete's recruiting department that current company policy in regards to vacation time is what is posted on the website. I've cut and pasted it below.

Paid Vacation
• 5 days paid vacation after one year of continuous employment.
• 10 days paid vacation after two years of continuous employment.
• 15 days paid vacation available annually after continuous employment for ten years.

So hang with us for 10 years and we will give you two weeks and a day for paid vacation.

Says alot about what has happened to this company over the past few years.

Hey FlybyNight

Thanks for taking the time to look into this. I know that when I called and talked to the recruiter awhile back she was adamant about the policy.
She stated to me that they offer paid days off, not weeks off.

I understand where they are getting the 5 days as that is what the office, shop get paid for but they have a 5 day work week and when combined with their other 2 days off each week they get a week.

Too some drivers this will not be a big deal, to others it would be a deal breaker, I fall into the later.

Crete is a fine company but when you look at all of the programs that they offer I am really surprised at this one. Makes you scratch your head and wonder???
