Default TMC QUESTIONS???

hey everyone, first time poster here! I was wondering if any TMC drivers could give me some info about driving for TMC while living in MI, I am from Grand Rapids. I use to pull 50' multi axle trailers delivering precast concrete around the state of MI. The company was always asking us to pull overweight, oversize w/o escorts and many other illegal things, so i had to go. I had been there 6 months and have been away about 5 months and have been looking around hard. SO i was curious about average length of haul, amount of time out at one time, what you haul out of MI, detention pay?, how is all that tarping, truck washes?, toll payment, hub miles or what? and any other random stuff would be great! Also, do they have a john deere dedicated divison. So any MI TMC drivers info would be great and any other TMC drivers past or present. Thanks guys i really appreciate it.

PS... I have seen flatbed fred's website(nice work Fred) it is awesome

i have spoken to several drivers that live in MI. a couple live in the UP and most drive longhaul. i know that there is a line across MI that divides long haul and line haul. not sure where it is though. as far as tarping and all, its not that bad. i would rather not tarp. read through the other TMC thread, if you havent already. it has most of the info that you are looking for. it is rather long.

HEY mudflap, thanks for the info. I have looked a sections of the other threads, just haven't read the entire thing. i bet tarping can be an art on a windy/rainny day.

Check out the thread titled TMC. It's about 88 pages long and should have any and all information you are looking for. If that's too much reading, get ahold of FlatBedFred, he can and will answer your questions.

So no trainers in the Greensboro, NC area or in the vicinity huh?
Just how do you go about finding out about one? Ask the recruiter? Call dispatch or what? Or is it just luck of the draw kinda thing.

Ooop, sry wrong thread, gunna repost in the other TMC post.

How many terminals does TMC have (full service, maintenance, drop yards,etc...), and where are they located?

Are Joplin and Houston full service?
Heard rumors about a Baltimore MD terminal.
