I wear one, my husband, however, does not "wear" a conventional ring, he decided, on his own by the way, to get his "tatooed", after we were married about 10 years. He nearly lost his ring finger once & doesn't wear jewelery of any kind. I was really touched when he came home one day with the tattoo. We both firmly believe marraige is forever. I did ask him once what he would do if we ever split, he just shrugged & said he'd always be married in his heart to me!

Actually, he's finally starting to improve...thank GOD! He took a really bad spill on some ice a couple of weeks ago, sprained his ankle VERY badly. He's been on crutches for the last 2 weeks & is finally starting to hobble around the house with a cane.

Do you have ANY idea how whiny men are when they are hurt or sick????

The next project is the bar Mackman...I'll be sure to post pictures...last I heard the plan was the shape of the Pontiac "V" on the older model hood ornament...Will be sure to keep you posted!

Been married to my HS GF 26 years in May. The first few years when I was young and naive I did not wear it because I was too cool for that. About 12-13 years ago I started thinking it was disrespectful to not wear it and have had it on ever since.

No. I stopped after the 3rd I lost.

I don't wear watches or chains either. Keep losing those as well.

When I'm asked about why I don't, I simply state "my wife married me. I wasn't wearing one then, so she should accept me as I was."

Truth is, after buying the third one herself, she decided simply to accept that I lose things, and she should buy the gold rings and chains for herself.

She seems to like that ideal.

SInce losing alot of weight I have stopped wearing mine. I feel lost without it. When I finally hit my weight loss goal I will have it resized so I can wear it again. But in reality you really don't have to wear a ring to be married.
