Entitlement Definitions:
Entitlement: A government program that guarantees and provides benefits to a particular group.... Entitlement: A government program providing benefits to members of a specified group; also : funds supporting or distributed by such a program.... The Congressional Budget Office indicates that in the coming years, Social Security, Medicare, Medicaid, and other government entities (entitlements) will consume nearly 40% of the economy. Read that again. If you think your taxes are high now, just wait.... Congressman Paul Ryan has introduced legislation on how to combat the approaching entitlement crisis. His proposals take aim at dealing with this enormous challence now instead of putting it off sometime in the future. It makes a lot of sense. However, I'd personally like to see the income tax completely eliminated and relpaced with a national consumtion tax. I like everything else he proposed though.
