The Pac-10, Big East, WAC and Sun Belt do not have a championship game either Jack. NCAA says that you do not need one if you have under 12 teams?? Maybe it's 11 teams before you are supposed to have a conference title game.

As an OSU fan a playoff would actually be better in the long run. We wouldn't have to be 1 or 2 to make the playoffs almost every year. Once you make the playoffs anything can happen. But I still like the traditional bowl games. I like the tradition and history.

Snowman, 12 teams before the NCAA will allow a title game, per the ACC's expansion: Check the 2nd sentence.

I think the NCAA needs to change that, make it 10 teams. I can see why 11 would not work, one side of the divison would have an advantage by having less teams on their side. Big Ten and Pac-10 would have a title game but the Big East would not since they only have 8 teams.
