yeah, i'm thinkin JR will try to find some way to at least finish top 3. and yes Martin for all those sentimental reasons. he'll be awesome in the truck. if he does run the full schedule for trucks, i believe he'll be a contender right off the bat.

Martin's not running the trucks next year it looks like. Once he announced the 22 race schedule with MB2 for next year Jack yanked the rug out from under him. Geoff Smith was quoted as saying, "This changes everything for next year as far as the #6 truck." When he announced the deal with MB2, Roush had yet to show him a contract for the Truck ride next year which is why Martin jumped at the MB2 deal. Lot of people are not happy with Roush over that, he kept ho-ing and humming around saying that they were working on a deal. When a man like Martin asks and wants something, Roush should have given it to him on the spot, not screwed around for 6 months. Martin did not have to race this year in the 6 car, he did it though out of respect for Roush and Roush has not shown him the same respect back. Roush was hoping to put the truck deal on hold and get Martin back for one more season in the 6 car.

I don't think "Wuud" has a speach impediment so I'll say this-On Speed Channel he was a Guest and Listening to him talk was like Listening to Daffy Duck :P
I really like the guy
Question-You don't think it's possible that he decides to come out at this point in the Chase to Help his Brother out do you? :P

Quite frankly I normally would not even entertain the idea but being out of racin for 2 years and not driving @ that level has me a little sceptical. It may come a time in the race when as ole "Wuud" is getting lapped he holds his ground/widens his car (so to speak) for all the contenders except his Bro... That's racin"... We know it occurs but is there anything really illegal about it..

I know it's not Illegal and one thing I HATE about NASCAR is all the "Teams" working together. Racing SHOULD be a Individual Racing sport like it used to be.
I just thought the Timing for his "Coming Out" :P was a bit suspect.

2. Dale JR.
3. Jeff Burton
4. Kurt Bush

Ward was 8th fastest in opening practice but qualified way in the back. He has a hot rod but he had to run a conservative lap to make sure he got in the field since the 4 car is outside of the Top 35 in owners points. This mornings Happy Hour will show where he stands with that car. Said it wasn't perfect but it was comfortable in practice and qualifying.
I don't think it's odd yoop. He is starting a comeback just an hour away from where he lives and grew up. He knows Martinsville very well. I don't think he will help his brother much other than cut him more slack than anyone else out there. He won't be a hard pass for Jeff to make, but he will be a hard pass for everyone else, not just for the other 9 Chase guys. He already said, he wants to keep his nose clean this week and not screw any of the 10 Chasers up by wrecking them but that he will be watching for his brother more than the others.
Your right about the teams though, it ain't right. Share info if you want, but race like DW and Cale used to race for Junior Johnson. Heck bent on beating one another.

Starting a comback with a few races left in the Chase?
Odd timing I say but with Martinsville being a short track I don't see how he can help his brother other than spinning out others in the Chase :P

Well, the issue of Wuud being in the way was mute... Johnson had the car any way you say it.. Jr. had the bonehead of the day award hands down, At least he admitted it but boy did it cost him.. 8 drivers within 100 pts. I would have nver guessed it would be this close this late. That's what happens when the leaders have any trouble. Burton lost about 90 today but still in 4th place but easily within striking range.. How about Atlanta next week, most drivers drool over that track because it is sooo fast...
