Noone has mentioned cutting pay, One. At one time carriers did give you pills in one hand and your bills in another. I don't recall us having as many accidents as today. I never got into the pills. When I get tired, I shut it down. I expect the same of my drivers. I have never pushed them to run illegal. Some drivers need more sleep than others. I get along well with 5-6 hours sleep. If I sleep 8 hours I feel like I am drugged. There are some who may need 8-10 hours sleep. There should be more flexibility if we are to continue having logs or limitations on how long we can drive.
