My SO had worked for Arrow (of all companies) for the past 18 months and was terminated today. He said it was like a punch in the stomach and he is still reeling while finishing cleaning out his truck. He and a bobtail brushed together 2 weeks ago and he hit a deer in Feb 07...they're saying it's too many incidents. Neither of them is supposedly DOT reportable and his DM is fighting to ensure it doesn't go on his DAC - I guess it's all up to the safety guy.
Anyway, is all of this going to keep him from getting on with another company? (he had been wanting to come in local anyway- so that's a consideration). Again, he can't believe it...especially considering it's Arrow! ops: ops: Thanks for any input.

Sounds pretty low class of Arrow to do that. Was the bobtail incident his fault or the other drivers ? I can't believe they would hold a deer incident against someone. Maybe they have too many drivers right now and need to get rid of some so they find any little excuse to terminate. Hopefully it turns out ok for you two 8)

Thanks TK the Trucker... considering right of way it would have been my SO's fault...the bobtail speeded up to prevent him from changing into his lane, but right-of-way rules. It was less than $500 damage and he did not receive a ticket. The other driver insisted on waiting for the police regardless.
I wish us well too! We're getting married in October after 10 years together and I have no idea what it's going to take for him to get work. He does have excellent references prior to driving and one short stint at your present employer where he started out at. We live in San Diego though...high cost of living on just my salary!!
