Slippers all the time whether I'm driving or in a truck stop. If I'm at a customer I'll put my shoes on and then they are right off as soon as I get back to the truck. You have to be comfortable while you drive thats for sure.

We have spinners on some of our tractors (farm tractors), and they come in handy when you are moving round bales, but I didnt know that they are illegal for trucks. I've never heard that before.

Default I was right.

As usual, I was right and you bone-heads were wrong

I've looked in the DOT Regulations in Parts 393.209 (steering system) and 393.3 (additional equipment & accessories) and I cannot find where steering wheel spinners are illegal or unapproved.

The only way steering wheel spinners (knobs) would be illegal, is if its done so by State Law in the state you are stopped in.

Thanks for the question. Hope this helps.

Default man, I'm late to this discussion

Um... in my previous life as VP of a small telephone company, the first thing I'd do when I hit the office is kick my shoes off. So much for business attire!

As for flipflops.. I can't keep the things on my feet unless I'm standing still. Driving in them would be hell.

Barefoot, probably not much better. Gimme a cheap pair of tennies and some booties and I'll be happy.

Anything above the ankle line is purely optional (what, you have a rig that can look down into MY rig???? close your darn eyes!)
