Can anyone tell me do I have any chance for OTR job with any big company with my driving record ?

1) October 21 2002 - speeding ticket
2) December 15 2002 - speeding, over 15 above limit
3) February 25 2003 - Disregarding official traffic control device

My DL was suspended for four months because of those tickets.
Since Feb 25 2003 I didn't have any tickets.
I don't have CDL and I was thinking about applying to SNI, I've talked to their recruiter and she told me that this is not automatically disqualify me. But if I will not get accepted is it worth to apply anywhere else or a driving record like this will be a big problem inf finding a job ?

 

Really depends on what state you live in and how long those tickets stay on your record.

 

I live in Illinois, they will stay for 60 months ( I think ). Looking on some companies requirements I saw that many of them require "clean" record for 36 months and all my tickets are at least 48 months old.
Schneider requires no more than 3 tickets in last 60 months and no more than one license suspension in 60 months but I'm afraid that my driving record may still be a problem becuase of this ticket for over 15.

Depends on who you apply two. Some may not care... so will. Just make sure to keep you MVR clean from now untill death.. and you'll have no problems. Company paid training can be good and bad, Good that they pay for it, bad thay you'll be stuck with that Company for a year or more. If you can pay for it your self, lots of companys will re-imburse you.

Just keep the MVR clean and you'll be set.

 

I want to go with Schneider because they offer free training and I can't afford right now to do it on my own. I also don't care about one year contract with them because even if I will do CDL on my own I will stay at least for one year in the same company. I've read a lot about Schneider ans usually peoples have good coments about them. The only thing that most drivers don't like is the pay at Schneider which is lower then in most other companies but I can live with that for that one year or a little more.

 

I know in Ohio, for insurance purposes it stays on your record for 3 years. However, it officially stays on your license for longer, I believe it is 5 years.

My approach would be to look into other companies also and give them what they ask for and nothing more. Some will ask you for tickets within the past 3 years, some will ask for 5 years. If they only ask for 3, your record is clean. They suspension may hang you up more than the tickets with some companies though.

Theoretically I'm good with Schneider they allow no more than three tickets in last five years and no more than one dl suspension in last five years. So I guess that I will give it a try.

 

Go on unemployment or food stamps, and let JTPA pay your way. I was a dumbass. I paid huge dollars to go to trucking school, because I knew I'd never be happy with the likes of Pumpkin Inc. or CR England. I think I was the only one there who wasn't going through JTPA.

 

well back in I think 2002 maybe cant remember got ticket for speeding 19 over still got a job just it was fixed tickets. spent about $500 on all that but it's cheap not to speed so much.
