Considering Steve actually works for a living and just doesn't take part of the LUMPERS WAGES AS HIS CUT OF THE PAY. That I disagree with, it's called working smarter not harder. I have employees in my business, if I can't make money off of them there's no need to have them, because it does have it's headaches.

My favorite jobs are T&M jobs, you can't lose. I make my hourly wage, if I'm working them, plus money off of their hours.

Huh? :? I make my money as a contractor. I subcontract my labor to cash labor guys. My "living" comes from managing my expenses so that after I've paid all my expenses, there's something left over. It's called risk. If the lumpers would like to take on some of the risk, then they can reap the benefits. But, the last I checked, it was me who was paying the claims, it was me who paid the fuel, it was me whose name is on the truck note, it was me who paid out $800 per month in various insurance.

I suppose, by your thinking, a General Contractor who is building a house shouldn't make any money unless he is up on the roof pounding nails. :roll:

You honestly think I don't work? Seriously? Shoot, I work harder than any of the cash labor I hire. I'm the one on the bottom end of grandma's grand piano that needs to be on the second floor. I'm the one getting that triple dresser down that impossible narrow hallway. I'm the one actually making the entire load fit into the trailer. I'm the one making sure that the asshole they sent me from the labor pool that has two left feet doesn't break great grandma's $1000 antique vase.
