she will make me cookies and pie. Later, we will do shots of Tequila and bash Britney Spears.
Hey maybe the Brit'ster will be there too and you all...ahhh never mind.

One of the best steaks in my life was had about 10 miles north of the resort of Big Sky on 191 (on west side of hwy). Don't remember the name. We bobtailed down from Bozeman cause we had heard so much of the place. There's a porterhouse that is so huge that it takes up an entire plate. The sides all came on a second plate. The tables were all picnic style and you get to know everyone who is sitting near by. The beef is all locally grown. Mindyou this was in the late 70's but I hope it is still there. It was locally famous.

Someplace in or right out of Yellowstone park there was a Chuck Wagon style eating place set up that had the biggest steaks I ever saw.

But that was in 90 when we were coming back from Sturgis and down the road towards Cody it started pouring down rain and we were on the bike pulling a little trailer. By the time we got to cody my boots were full of water. I love them good old days.

If you are heading into Montana in order to deliver to Yellowstone, I'm guessing you are going to drop down from Livingston to near Gardiner. That valley is called Paradise Valley and it is absolutely stunning. A lot of hollywood types have their "ranches" in that valley.

It will be interesting to see if that is where you are heading with that rock. That's a lot of $ somebody is paying to get rocks put around their house. Guess the "Rocky" Mtn's weren't rocky enough :) . Oh well...If you've got the moola, why not I suppose.

I have to pull over in Big Sky, make a call then they will escort me in.

My guess is that it will be Paris Hilton's new home and she will be so glad to see her new stone that she will make me cookies and pie. Later, we will do shots of Tequila and bash Britney Spears.

Dont forget about the waitress in Denver.....she would be happy to feed you Tequila.....

Well, I delivered my rocks to Big Sky Resort or something like that. It's the only private community with it's own ski resort and golf course. The road going in was the steepest place I've ever been in yet with roads that were so curvy I had to take up the whole road or go over the edge. Snow and ice to boot.

The guy I dropped off to said I was the only flatbed so far out of 20 that actually knew who Warren Miller was. He and another person are developing this place. I'm guessing each log cabin must be at least 20 million dollars. This is the most luxurious place I've ever seen and must take up at least 25 square miles. Oprah Winfrey has a place there also.

The ride out was great and not too bad as far as the hills were concerned. I'm getting call after call to haul stuff out of here for $1.01 to $1.10. Some of them start off with a little story about how little freight there is and so many trucks. I guess they are trying to set the stage for the low rates. I posted my truck for tomorrow and will head out on Saturday if I don't get something decent. I've been out 4 weeks and time to head home for a while.

Here are some pics.

I did my thing today and just sat until the afternoon and low and behold a call came in from C.H. Robinson desperate for my pick of loads. One going to PA and the other to VA so I too the VA load. Waiting to get loaded at the moment then a nice 2,000 mile ride.

I should have no problem getting a load out of VA back to either Mass or NH then I'm taking a week or two off. I think I'll have been out 6 or 7 weeks by the time I get home. After I pull a load and invoice I put the copy in my laptop case. My laptop won't fit in there anymore. There's too many invoices.

Not much to do when I get home this time other than a PM and maybe some drive tires but they still look ok so maybe not. I'm going to go over to the scales and let my local DOT people give it the once over. I think that's one nice thing about NH is if you pull in and ask for help you get help instead of a ticket if something is wrong.

I got pulled into the scales when empty heading in here. Both the DOT inspectors came out and looked at the plate on my trailer and truck. They said they had never seen vanity plates on a commercial truck before. I asked them for a sticker and they laughed and walked away.

So probably another week before I get home. I like to order DVD's from Walmart so I should have a good collection to watch when I get home.

60" plasma TV, big huge Lazy Boy, shots of Tequila and Chinese food here I come!!! I LOVE LIVING ALONE!!!
