Yup, for loaded.

I asked before, and I'll ask again:

Why aren't you calculating your average on ALL miles?

Billpay isn't just electronic transfers. My bank will allow me to put anyone I want on the list along with an address and account number. If they don't participate in electronic transfers, such as a private individual, my bank cuts a check and mails it to them. All part of the bill pay service. Check around, anymore you can do anything remotely.

we use BillPay, which is an actual employee at the bank that cuts the check and mails it. Or I call on the cellphone and pay over the phone. I'm not sure what kind of bills you're getting that you have to wait to pay until you get home, but that sucks. We'd be sol as we only go home every 6-8 weeks. Every other down time we take is somewhere fun. Just got back from 2 weeks in Hawaii and I kept up with all my bills from there.

For the time being I'm not trying to analyze anything other than take my time learning and driving. The business part can wait for now.

My bank can write and mail checks also but it's kind of hard to do when you don't know what bills are waiting for you. I mentioned this before and I'll say it again that I'm legal guardian for someone and only I can sign checks and pay there bills.

Glad to see you made it home in one piece, Steve. :P I'm also on days off. I think I'm going to get a digital camera before I leave again. I'm still kicking around the whole idea of going O/O, but have decided to build up my savings before taking the plunge just in case. You know, there's a lot of flatbed work around here. Maybe you should move out here. I mean we do have a Starbucks now and your favorite truckstop! What more could you ask for? Well, I'm off to look at cameras, enjoy your time at home. :)

Dont come here. LOL, just joking, come on out Indiana, Illinois, Ohio are great freight states and you can get most places within a days ride.

Yup, for loaded. I've been pretty lucky and not much dead heading.

YA YA YA, rub it in ssoutlaw!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm not sure where I would move to GMAN. I don't think I can take driving through NY much longer. The roads are unbelievable. I'm thinking Nebraska or Kansas. Florida wouldn't be out of the question either.

I just dropped my truck off for a what they call level B PM. They have a checklist that includes about 75 points that they either check or adjust including clutch, brakes and a bunch of other stuff. I think I have a coolant leak some place and my oil pan is leaking. Everything was fine on the road and the second I park my truck for 2 days things go wrong. On the way over to the shop my drivers side round mirror cracked in half.

Just some food for thought Steve: Nebraska and Florida are not the busiest of freightlanes, although they do seem like nice places to live. Florida usually has plenty of freight coming in, but most of the time you will be dead heading to get out of there. Much the same in the Nebraska area, although you might get a lil luckier there than if you were in FL. I dont mean to sound partial or anything, but there is a lot of freight coming in and out of TN and Al. Especially for flatbed freight. IMO the MidSouth would put you in the center of the freighlanes which would be pretty beneficial to ya if you are worried about location and freight availablility. It doesnt hurt to mention that we are steady growing down here with all the car plants and such coming in. Our weather isn't too bad either! 8)

Yeah, you really shouldn't be thinking about the geographic center, but the freight center. Texas/Oklahoma is a good freight center. So is Pennsylvania/Ohio/Indiana/Illinois. Atlanta would probably also be a good location. Florida is horrible unless you haul a reefer, or immigrants. ;) As for the west, I have no idea. I've never run out there.

Yeah, I'm a legal guardian also. I have their (our) account set up same as mine and use BillPay for all their stuff also. I have everything set up direct deposit. Like I said we'd be SOL if everything had to wait until we got home. But you have to work out your own system. It took me a little while to find what worked best. Good luck.
