[quote="SteveBooth"]Made it home and 10 million letters.

About 90% of that are checks from shippers.

Steve,
Wasn't there was a guy from TMC that was picking up a load at the copper mine when you were there? Did he deliver to the same place as you? If so, who got there first?

Ha, ya, I wish they were all checks. I have someone picking up my mail and depositing any checks that come in. They have been pretty regular. The shippers pay within a week or 2 and the brokers take 30+ days.

Yes, there was a TMC guy there. He's the one that gave me a hard hat. I really thought I was taking my time and we all ended up within an hour of each other at the drop off point!!!!! I ended up driving that one day in the bad weather and doing 185 miles. One guy stayed in that Texas truck stop for an extra day and beat feet the next day and made up the 185 miles I did.

I can't believe how long my list is of things to do related to this job. Just the laundry alone took all day yesterday washing everything under the sun from my privacy curtain to my overalls.

I'm ready to hit the road again already!!!!

Steve, you seem to like running the left coast. Do you plan on continuing to run the West?

I'm not planning it that way it just happens. I'm going where the freight is but that sink hole Texas always sucks me in. I do like running out West. I wish I could get a dedicated run out West then back again.

Steve, how do think you're handling the learning curve business wise so far? I know it's early but if you're keeping detailed records you should have an idea how you're doing. Are you making a fair profit after all expences including a truck payment if you had one?

Keep up the good work.

Thanks Steve for telling us about your adventures, I really enjoy reading the posts. Keep up the good work and if I run into you out on the road, coffee is on me.
