Ok, thanks. I cut, pasted and saved your message so I'll give it a try when 3,000 other truckers aren't watching me.

I was taught in school to make the hard right, then hard left but that was when there was twice the amount of space between the rows which isn't the case.

Exactly! That's what we were taught too, but it's just too tight in these truck stops for all that and the spread axle isn't helping anything either.

One thing to keep in mind about running out of room with the nose of your truck when your trying to get back under the trailer. It's usually because you started out with the rear of the trailer sitting too far away from the parking spot. I stated 5 or 6 feet in my setup...that's probably the high side of that distance. You probably need to keep it down to 2-3 feet if possible. Like I stated, you can adjust the angle and distance a little and you'll find where you need to be pretty quick. It also seems like you need to change both of them up a little sometimes depending on how the parking is laid out.

With the help of 3 or 4 other drivers......... and 8-10 pullups, this method got me in there every time!!

Up next! Rev will let the rest of the cat out of the bag, after these messages.

First things first....WELCOME back Rev....missed your sarcasim!!

I know what happened...rev hit the lottery and now SOMEONE else is driving his truck while he is kicked back on an island somewhere in paradise....

steve.....just remember when you hook those straps to the rubrails they dont have a weight rating and if you were to have an accident your load COULD come loose because your straps would tare the aluminum....

parking....cant help ya there.....I couldnt do it that is for sure. I would need 40 acres to back up truck and trailer!!

That was one of the selling features of my trailer when I bought it. I didn't realize what it meant at the time but my rub rails are reinforced and approved to not only strap too but to hook winches to also. They are connected to the trailer in the normal fashion but also have cylinders welded every foot or so which make for the stronger rail.

Yup. I may be on my way to New Mexico in a few minutes. Just waiting for a call back. A 400 mile run for $2.00 per mile but then I'll be stuck in Albuquerque for the weekend!!

I just sold a 2006 Triumph Speed Triple to a guy in Albuquerque a few weeks ago.
You will be able to find some nice places to do short hikes.
