Also, when Peter Fonda said, "We screwed up Billy". He has not told anyone to date what he meant by that. He'll probably auction off the secret some day like Carlie Simon did with the song Your so Vain.

I'm here at the IOWA80 truck stop. Big surprise, it's the 2007 Jamboree going on. Can't believe I got a parking spot. Needless to say, you have to watch were you turn or you'll get your eyes poked out by some cutie trying to give you a pamphlet.

My load of watermelons is gone. I was a little suspicious of the way the broker talked. They told me they were from TQL but needed to know all my info. I told them you already have it, just fax me the agreement. I looked at my caller ID and it wasn't the same number as TQL, not even close. I called them up, gave them the number and sure enough, it was someone trying to scam me.

They wanted me to play along and go through the motions but I'm pretty sure they knew I was on to them and they never faxed the rate agreement to me.

That's probably a great lesson Steve....always cross check the phone/fax number with the published one for the broker if you don't already have your information on file. I wonder how many guys just fax on in all their information only to have it end up with a scammer.

Especially in California.

I've watched that movie a 100 times along with Easy Rider.

I've seen the movie a few times, it was one of my fathers favorites. My favorite scene is the car chase through the mall where they "window shop". Pure wanton destruction combined with commentary on our consumer centric society.

It helps to know you way around IMDB.

I got to work a double last night and I did not get packets out of Sacramento on time. I ended up hitting my 16 ~15mi short of making it home. Only reason I got that close is I only had 10k of freight on my set.

Just parked at the 1st safe spot and phoned the barn "come get me".

The joys of LTL.

Steve
I was at Iowa 80 Thursday and Friday, I looked around for a Red Western Star but I didn't see you. Where were you parked? Did you go over to the show and get your free Western Star hat? They were giving free T-shirts away but I didn't ask for one of those. To get the hat you had to take the hat off you were wearing and put it into the supplied Western Star bag and put there hat on. I thought I might have to strip and put there t-shirt on so I didn't ask.

Fun couple days, did some site seeing and on the way back to Michigan we went to the NASCAR Busch race in Joliet IL. (Chicagoland Speedway) We didn't see Jake & Elwood.
