That's only with the Jake on. If I push it I'll shift at 1900 but trying to keep it down.

I've already tried to shift at a lower RPM and keep my speed below the limit and have seen a huge increase in MPG. I can go from 5.2 to 6.2 without trying to hard. I just seem to be being pushed lately to do 600 miles a day.

Pulling a flatbed on top of wanting to go to the most out of the way places I've seen more 10%+ grades at gross than I can count now. Forget the theory that 1 less gear will hold you back, nothing will. I'm in 3rd gear, the Jake on full and the fan going for extra braking and still stabbing every 5 seconds.

Yea, I got a total of 13 different shots but really only 4. 3 shots were a cocktail consisting of 4 vaccines and the last one was the worst. It was so thick it hurt pretty good going in. The syringe was huge and the needle was 3 times the size of the other shots. I think his hand hurt after that one.

There aint no DANG way anyone is getting me with more than one needle and that is ONLY if I am dying. I had to have surgery one time and the nurse could not get the IV started....she only got one chance. They gave me something (dont know what) but after that they could have shot me with 50 needles and I would not have cared :wink:

Sometimes I like to go totally old school,....first I tried to make pictures with charcoal and a rock wall,.(I'm no artist, so it looked really bad :sad: ), but then I settled on 110 film.
Next,.. I'm going to get a horse team and a Conestoga, then use smoke signals and the pony express to secure my next load,....after I'm empty of course.
If all goes well I'll be using a cabover and a payphone next,...and then when I finally catch up with technology,...maybe I'll get a better digital camera to go with my APU and solar power system,:lol: :lol:

Steve - I really enjoy reading your posts and all the details you talk about as far as the everyday/night tasks of owning your own truck. Thanks for all the great reading so far. I think about getting my own truck and doing exactly what you're doing a lot. Do you ever think about getting a new(er) truck once you've hit a certain milestone. Not saying you don't have a nice truck or need a new one, but was just curious. If so what would kind of truck would you buy?
