Why not try and haul boats? I am doing it now and I go all over the country, Im in beautiful marinas, boat yards, boat dealers, I travel all 48 states and it never gets boring!

Well... A straight truck would (in theory) give you and your better half a great opportunity to see the country. That's what I'm driving now and it's extremely cool that almost no establishment is off limits. If I'm in the mood for a coffee I pull into the next Micky-Ds and get a coffee, there's always room to park. But finding loads is tough, and finding room for your gear is even tougher. I'm considering adding some toolboxes to take care of the lack of storage but I can't imagine a couple being ok. Besides, hotels have their advantages compared to sleeper cabs but sleeper cabs are really the way to go.

I've tried doing some wandering in my straight truck - I just got home from a 3 week stint that included N. Dakota. Finding loads is very tough. I'm thinking I'll stick to Michigan-Ohio-Indiana until I get caught up on bills and maybe (just maybe) head out for some adventure before the snow falls.

I like the boat hauling post! Marinas and rich-folks areas are always fun.

Don't go into bed bugging. The cuistomers are gettin g worse and worse, and the rates too. It was fun, but I didn't make a million dollars. The Rev did so well he's been MIA for some time now retiring on a desert island with an umbrella drin k, and Teal95 is down in TX living the good life. Go with the cars suggestion...
