as for backing a 53', I am guessing Clunker has never driven a hood before. It's easy as pie. I was able to get my 900L with a 335" frame into a spot at a Pilot quicker than half the retarted ant-eaters all day long. It's the driver, not the truck!
And the mirrors. :smokin:

A good set of MOTO mirrors always helps, but its been my experience that any truck with a stretch or side stacks is easier to back with the drivers door open.

that's funny, I bought it off a guy named Jim Prugh in Salem a year ago and sold it to a guy name Steve in Raleigh 8 days later[\quote]

What's funnier is Brandon just told me he sold it to guy in Washington in Aug 2010, but owned it since he built in in 2004
Like I said, we bought it in 2009 and sold it 8 days later in eBay. Jim said he was the second owner of the truck. My cousin lives there in NC and he is the I went in with to buy it. We paid $37,500 and sold it on eBay for $42,350

I know what I've had and done. Unless he lied to me which I don't see happening.

You never said WHEN you bought it, you said you bought it in Salem, Salem in what state? so you're telling me that Brandon the guy who bought it in 2004 and built it into what it is and then sold it 6 months ago is lying?

The guy I talked to last night?

Are you that stupid, should I get Brandon to log on here and tell it to you personally?

How old are the batteries?
Tires are like new. They're not retreads. New wheel balancers too. Breaks are redone but need an adjustment. I'm not aware of any leaks. Radiator was changed. They did some work on the suspension and checked the seals which seemed fine. When I drove it, it rode and handled fine. Sounded fine too. Exhaust system has been redone. Batteries are new. New paint. New stainless airfilters. New 5th wheel. New interior carpet, and the interior was professionally cleaned. Has a brand new Peterbilt matress for the the sleeper.

They were redoing this truck for the guy's brother, who is the one actually selling it. He's selling it for personal reasons. His brother, who owns the trucking company, said he would have bought from him it but he already has too many trucks sitting without drivers.

It don't sound too bad, I'd still try to squeeze him down a little bit, biggest problem is sometimes trying to get finance and/or insurance, both usually don't like old stuff, and then its hard to get the proper coverage if something was to happen.

If he was going to give it to his brither, hopefull he did it "right" and didn't skimp

Good luck whatever you decide

Was it difficult to get the money from the Buyer? Did you use PayPal? What did you use as a starting price for the auction? Thanks!

I never saw the truck. My cousin was the one who did the deal. It was Salem, VA where he bought it. I gave him $10,000 to help get the truck and he gave me $12,500 back a week later. That was the pic of the truck he sent me. He has never lied to me before and I spoke with Jim on the phone about the truck. If you seriously know the guy who owned it and built it, I'd like to get his info so I can talk to him and find out wtf is going on.

That was supposed to read Chevelle at 14. It was a 1970 SS 396 car with a m21

And I don't have a phone till I get home Friday, as Sprint had to ship me a replacement. I am using my netbook right now. He called my cell and I can't reply to him till I get another.

I'm not saying you are lying, or your friend, but some one is and I'd like to find out who and why? You can pm me his info if u like.

Did they rebuild the front end too by any chance? Springs, king pins, the whole nine yards? That would be another positive.
