GREAT, it would be one thing if they couldn't do it once and a while but essentially what he is saying, they don't want you to think about being with family or to ever have issues. He's right it's probably best thing. There are many professed Christians in this field. I don't argue with them. I've always felt it better not to stoop to that level. It catches up to them sooner or later.

after repeated emails, I finally got this answer. (Larry is the guy I used to work for and I haven't spoken to him since I quit)
Well, its getting harder to work with your schedule, then there's the family issue, the fact I'm considered the dumb ass boss, you not agreeing with the rates and the icying on the cake is when you spoke to larry and told him my rates for the cuthbert loads. That in itself was more than enough for me. So its better this way, you move on and I will as well. Steve odom If you look at this a-hole's website, he claims to be a Christian and family oriented, yea right, the "family issue" I have is that I wanted to be home every other weekend, which was the agreement when I started It sounds to me as though you two had some long standing issues. It is probably best for both of you that you parted company. Any business relationship should be mutually beneficial.

never had a disagreement, never had a talk, never had a problem that I knew of, BUT, I just found out that one of his buddies just bought a truck and needed a place to go, his wife just died, so he has no need to go home, they needed a trailer for him, so the rest is pretty obvious

u mention safe stat, i've proboly heard it b4 but don't remeber it. looked it up and all, this is the number that dot uses to pull a truck around back to inspect it? or is it more like a credit score type thing, but more overall of a company review?

The safe stat score is what they use to recommend whether to inspect you or not. 100 is the worst score. If I remember correctly a score of 50 or less recommends passing. If your score is 51-75 they recommend it is optional as to whether they should inspect you. If it is 76-100 then the recommendation is to inspect. I may be off a point or two but that is pretty close. The lower your score the better. You can check your carriers safe stat by going to the safer.sys website. If you are inspected and have violations or fail to pass an inspection your safe stat score will likely go up. Passing should help it go down. The lower your companies safe stat score the less likely you are to be pulled in and inspected.

One other thing about a safe stat score. Insurance companies consider your safe stat score when determining a premium or rate. Some shippers and brokers use it to decide whether they will load a carrier.
