I just recieved the OOIDA Truckers Advantage fuel card by fleet one.In the fuel directory list it says I get 2 cents off at the pump.I will assume this will be from the cash price.
Besides the many programs, they offer tire discount and roadside service etc .Are there any other discounts on fuel at certain truckstops?I know this can never be compared to Landstars Comdata card which you get 2-3cents plus the cost price at many fuel centers offering this program.


As an approved carrier, I know G man has mentioned the Landstars' Savings Plus card which is similar to their BCO fuel card but does not have the many discounts like the BCo comdata cards.With the comdata card, I was getting as much as 20cents off the cash price at certain locations(mostly TA and Petro).

I also recieved the Quick Trip Rewards Debit Mastercard which takes as much as 5 cents off the pump price(cash price) and gives you reward points just like any other fiel card.Although Georgia's fuel tax rate is low, I got this card becasue of their low price on fuel.Their pump price right now is $2.35


I guess the best card I have heard about is the American express Blue card or whatever it is called.Any takes on OOIDAs truckers advantage card?

I have the OOIDA card, never had any problems, they draft my account for the payments, I get a quarterly rebate check with the discount, no fee for using the card either.

I got over $2k back last year. Back when fuel was $4.50/gal I was getting
over $50 back for each fill up!

Quite impressive discounts for this fuel program.
Quality fuel network sounds pretty good.They have a price list from the previous week in PDF and I am not sure if those prices were gasoline or diesel.If those prices were diesel then I don't know what could top that card.

The down side to using the Fleet One card is that you only usually get a $0.02/gallon discount. Not all fuel stops offer a cash discount on their card. I think OOIDA could negotiate better pricing with so many members using the card. I do like that there is no transaction fee attached to using the Truckers Advantage Fleet One Card. Most fuel cards have a fee for each transaction. Even TCH charges a fee even if you fuel at Flying J. Landstar's Savings Plus card is supposed to have the same benefits and discounts as is given to their BCO's. The problem with their card is that Landstar is the only one who can load it. You have no way to put more money on the card other than to haul another load for them. If you use the Amex blue card keep in mind that you will pay the credit price to use any credit card. Sometimes it works out where you can do better with the card even paying the credit price at the pump. Many of the independents don't charge extra to use a credit card.

Be advised that AMEX has recenlty put a $400 max on fuel purchases. I'm not sure if they won't rebate on any $400+ purchase or if they only pay the rebate on the first $400.

Amex Platinum Business has indeed put a cap on it. That was the card I was using when I drove myself.
I use T-Check now and am happy with it. Never ever an issue.

A lot of factoring companies now have fuel cards that have the same discount that someone above mentioned that Landstar gives. The factoring company I am an agent for has an EFS Fuel card with just about the same discounts.

Comdata has been calling me and they say if you have ever hauled for Schneider they can get you some discounts. I don't want Comdata though

I myself have contaced another factoring company that use T-Check and am about to get their fuel card but not their factoring services (of course they asked) cause I really don't want to switch from T-Check.

I attended a meeting for approved carriers sponsored by Landstar a few years ago and was told that if you use the Savings Plus Card you can get the same discounts on tires, fuel and other discounts just like the BCO's. I have never used it to make purchased for parts, but that is what I was told.
