First of all, he was not over, just axles. They didn't spread it long enough. If that was a live load, I'd consider it a driver responsibility.
Second, if it states, 45,000 on a BOL, doesn't mean it actually is.(Weight subject to correction) And last;-He is pulling a 53' box, and his empty, is around 32-35,000lb. They weighed me in and out where I unloaded In 78780 Tare 32540 Net 46240 That was with 1/4 tank of fuel

Because I never gave it a thought. I always get loads of 25K to 35K. This is the first one I had that I needed to scale. I usually just leave the tandems at 40' for California and forget it. I'm getting loaded now for back home and it is 23K. I just talked to one of our drivers and he came down I17 in Arizona this morning and they had the inspection stop in the rest area again today.
