Doesnt that equal cheap rates?
I doubt there are many lease deals out there paying $2.00/mile on van freight for tractor only...even including the FSC. If I could do that, I'd be killing it.

Why is Schneider going to stop the percentage program? I would think they would do much better in their recruitment paying percentage.

they are only taking a certain amount of drivers.........they do orientation for % program at 2 locations. And the mechanic who is good friend of mine in charlotte tells me they have started dwindling the number of trucks each week they are accepting into the program...it was 20 per week about a month ago........as of this past tuesday it was 8.........

Schneider is probably not making as much money paying owner operators on percentage as they do mileage.

Is it because the percentage drivers get a break on fuel at a SNI terminal? And a higher rate to pull the freight? I am curious how much they pay per gallon compared to a TA or Pilot.

all SNI o/o pay the same amount per gallon at all the terminals. But %(at least the smart ones) pulls the same freight at a higher rate
