Crossfires. I have removed several of them off my truck, and plan to remove the rest. They just aren't holding up very well (valve stems snapping off on a regular basis). I used to be a big fan of them, but I have changed my mind.

What I would like to find, though, is an extender for the inside valve, to make it easier to check and fill.

T.A. is running a special. $199.00 per axle and you get a "free" dinner in the resturant.

I'll give them $210 if they'll keep their dinner

How long did they last Rev? I saw the crossfires, but liked the Cat's eye more. They seem durable,...but time will tell.

I have Crossfires on all my drives and all my trailer tires and they have all held up perfect. I had to replace one when my trailer tire blew and took it out but other than that I'm very happy with them.

I ordered them mail order from Iowa80

They lasted about 2 years before I began having problems with them. They seem to have the most issues around the stems. The metal is cheap and becomes weak. I will point out that I spend pretty much all of my winters in the North.

I think remote tire pressure monitoring is the way to go. With crossfires or cats eyes you can pick up a nail while driving and won't know it till it's too late. At least with a monitoring system you have a chance.

With Crossfires or Cats Eyes only the tire that has the nail will go flat. Both units shut down the escape of air from the good tire.
