Great news GMAN !! I did send you an e-mail but with this news I don't guess it is important. Anyway, glad to hear it's going to be fine.

Hi, G-Man!!
Sorry, I'm a little late to school !! I'm sorry to learn of your leg injury, but very happy to learn that it's nothing too serious.
Regarding the TTED stockings; wearing them would be excellent advice, as they do improve vascular function and circulation.
I am personally very grateful that that subject was brought up. It will give me the PERFECT excuse next time my wife barges into the bedroom and catches me trying on her pan.........

Glad to hear you're gonna be okay Gman and will be back on the road where I know you're in your true element! Somehow I get the feeling you wouldn't be happy in the dispatching gig as those four walls would soon close in on you and drive you nuts. Advice from yourself, Twilight Flyer, Useless, and some of the other old farts helps these new kids tremendously and more than likely have saved some lives. Keep up the great work and take care of yourself!! 8)

I think the doctor was shocked that there wasn't more serious damage. I still have a log of swelling and a large area which still resembles a balloon under the skin on my thigh just above my knee. Hopefully, it will go away with time. At least it wasn't something which could be debilitating.
You could just tell your wife that you are using the stockings for medical purposes. You need to wear them to improve circulation. There is probably a new DOT rule which states that drivers must use the stockings.

Thanks, Midnight Flyer. I prefer driving, but will probably pursue the dispatching. It does require a lot of time at the computer and telephone to find the better paying loads. It is difficult to do a good job dispatching drivers or independents when I am on the road. You are correct about staying home. It can get old staying at home all the time. I am still moving a bit slower, but can get the job done.

I've been reading your posts for years and hide no idea you were typing with your feet. Best wishes and get well soon!
