Also, if you don't have an ITS account, email me your info and phone number and I'll post your truck each day.

Thanks Steve, but I'm already a IT member. Hopefully luck will be on my side soon. I saw those loads and called on a couple,..but putting together an LTL load would be a nightmare for me.
My flappers are the kind that just lift out of a small square bracket. They lift out in seconds,...unless you krimp an S hook in the little hole,..which I did this time,..but come on,..who needed my old cut short flappers  This TTT truckstop in Tucson has to be one of the worst I've seen,..the parking is pure dust!!

Sometimes when I'm stuck in an area and in a rat hole truckstop I'll dead head to an XL one. It always makes me feel better then I seem to get a load and have to leave!!!
I also try and keep busy by fixing or cleaning at least one thing every day. Then all of a sudden I get a good load which always seems to be a last minute thing with a good rate. I head down the road and think to myself, ya know, this always happens to me, I get bummed out but something always comes along. Just be fueled up and ready to roll on a moments notice today.

On those rare occasions when I find myself in Arizona or New Mexico, I usually plan on deadheading out. I try to line something up before getting there, but it can be difficult. Sometimes you need to go West to go East. For instance, if I am in Phoenix, I will often try to find something going into California. I see no need to sit in a bad area for more than a day unless I am working on something. If I can't find a decent paying load then I deadhead to California. It is usually easier to get something heading East from California than Arizona. Right now, California is difficult if you want to head East. Your better freight areas will usually be in the Midwest and Southeast.
There are a couple of things you may want to look at if you want to head East. One is doing shorter runs and working your way back East incrementally. Another is to put some LTL's together. Most of the better paying Western freight seems to stay in the Western states. It usually isn't too difficult to get something close to Denver, but is hard to get something farther East.

I'm putting the sound deadener material on the truck today, so I have plenty to do. If I get a bite I can be on the road within 15 minutes.
Gman, I have tried to do the LTL thing and failed all 3 times before,..it seems as though one pick up will ruin the whole trip, and the stress gets to me. I even had a broker try to put one together for me,..and then he told me the entire trip would amount to $1.27 per mile (3 pick ups/5drop offs),.....I declined,..but that was a month ago, and I think he got angry with me,..I haven;t heard from him since. I'm thinking about heading to Casa Grande, but I can't convince myself to move untill I know which way to go. Casa is a 120 dh if I have to come back through Tucson,....and that irks me.

No but you always attack people for having to guts to try and make it in this indusrty on their own and not posting numbers. You also take great pleasure in attcking Steve and others and acting like a bully it is about time someone gave YOU someone a taste of your own Medicene. Tastes bad. Trust me I would by now be running on my own authrity by now also but I was forced to retire way to early. At least Steve and Doghouse have the guts to try it running for Grabel is like being an OVERPRICED company driver.
