Dog needs advice
 

I have been stuck here West of the Rockies for over a month,.....what would you do to get closer to Florida? I have been watching the boards daily,...and have yet to see a load that can get me from S. Arizona to at least GA.
I am cosidering a long DH,..but hate to drive empty.

No,...not sitting for a month,..just bouncing from Flag to Page to Nogales for the last 3 weeks. Today in Nogales somebody stole my truck mudflaps at the Pilot,....sheesh,...I just finished cutting them shorter!!!

I am trying to get East,..I've been out since Dec 4th and I want to stay closer to home (SE) for a few weeks.

I posted on GL board, and left a message with Transport Services.

Sitting is ok sometimes, but now that I have repaired everything on my truck,...I find myself wanting to drive and break it some more.

Probably Gman would be the best to ask as he runs flatbed. Steve too. In my naivness I wouldn't have thought it was that tough to get back. I guess these are the little things us new guys will learn Doghouse, now you know not to go back to that area.

What's Transport Services, a dispatch service?

Merrick, yeah, the learning curve is pretty tight out here. I'm partly guilty for some of this,..I refuse to run a cheap load. So far I feel as though I've done it already with a $1.41 I took last week to get to a $2.00.
Today with the missing mudflaps, broken shock mount, and loose tail pipe,....this truck keeps me hopping. Tomorrow I will be putting the sound deadening material under my hood, on the firewall, and under my cab carpet. I had it shipped to Flag over the weekend and I am ready to quiet this thing down. My family thinks I'm nuts for staying out this long, but I am not going to go home till all the bugs are worked out and I can nail down a good freight lane. It looks to me that the SE should work,,...but I just have to get there :lol:

It seems as though they are a brokerage,..I left a message,..but I have yet to ever have a broker return a message.

Do you have The Internet Truckstop account? I just did a super search with a radius of 500 miles from Phoenix to a 500 mile radius of Tampa and there was 3 loads. One was a partial and the other 2 was from a company that had no credit rating.

I've been stuck many times in Arizona and New Mexico and no way to get out. I could stay out there and do fine bouncing around on the short loads but no way to head back east. I don't have any words of wisdom other than hope you get lucky.

How did your mudflaps get stolen? They would have to sit at my truck for an hour with a socket wrench taking off 5 bolts on each one? Did that undo the BIG BOLT and take the whole hanger also? That sucks for sure!!!
