There is not too much in this area for truck stops. There is one in Blaine that you would have driven past on your way to Canada but it has a dirt lot and not much for facilities (maybe a nasty shower). At exit 262 (Ferndale) there is a Super 8 Motel with paved truck parking for about 20 or so trucks, a convenience store that might have showers and a McDonald's next door but not much else. At exit 258 (Bellingham airport) there is another convenience store with a dirt parking lot (no showers).
Another 30 miles south near Burlington there is at least one other truck stop with a cafe and a truck wash. I think the parking area is graveled but I can't remember for certain. I've never been into the cafe or any of the buildings there so I can't tell you much about it. On the Canadian side there are none. Or so I've been told. Good luck, Max

Gordon started doing truck washes in 98, after they opened the freightliner shop. Gordon may be doing truck washes up in Mount Vernon at that Freightliner dealership also..I'm not sure.

I've been at the border for 4 hours already and I can't even see the border yet!!!! 10,000 trucks waiting and the line only moves once every 1/2 hour or so. HOLY CRAPOLA!!!
I'll get one of those Fast Track thingies if I ever want to come up here again. They have no idea where the other 2 trucks before me are and they left 4 days before me. I found out how much the customer paid for shipping on 3,200 miles...................$11,500
