I was going to do it right away, I mean that fifthwheel took me hours to clean,..and when I went to get my lube, I told them not to lube it,..and they did anyway, so then I decided to just deal with it when I get back home.
Todays fill up confirms that I am getting 9.9-11.1 mpg bobtail. Can't wait to see what happens when I load up. Also my propane heater only uses 1oz of propane per hour (and no electricity), and it keeps my sleeper at 70 degrees all night. I was very happy to see how efficient that was,..because you just never know till you try some of this stuff out.

the truck however has been quite a battle:
1.I have the radiator almost 80% covered and still can't get the temp to go above 200,..which means I get cold while driving because my vents blow lukewarm air.
2.I get exhaust fumes into the cab when I sit still because the seals for the A/C-heater core unit are allowing diesel fumes to be drawn into the cab while the blower fan is on.
3.The damn thing (truck) is still quite loud, and I think its coming from the 925,000 mile tranny.

Other than that so far so good,..here is what has happened to me so far:
1.I've been offered gold necklaces, blowjobs, and a blow up girl doll(eeewwww) dude was like "I swear, I only took it out of the box to look at it",....I could only shake my head and walk away laughing.
2.Somebody stole my corner fender spot mirror while in E.St Louis.

The coolant temp? Are you sure you want it higher?

200 is more than enough to roast you out of the truck. Are you sure your heater valves are turned on all the way for the cab and bunk or are they still in the closed summer position? Also check the cable that runs from your thermostat knob in the cab to the water valve in the engine compartment. Mine was stretched out and I just had to adjust it to let ALL the hot water flow.

No worries, and everyone,..what doe your engine temp run at in the winter. I am worried that my truck may not have a thermostat in it,..I never checked it and they guy who had this before me was freakin' McGuyver.

Steve,....you might be right,..its inside the box in the cab,..it could be half closed. I'm taking the box apart right now,..thanks

I froze my a$$ yesterday, and the diesel fumes are getting worse,..I think my truck is trying to kill me

My Volvo runs around 180 and it will cook you out of the cab. It has a N14 and my old Cat had a 190 stat in it.

Good call Steve O :!: :!: :!: , while the thing was "half open",...there is also a flap that diverts the A/C around the heater core, and that was wide open,..thus diverting most of my fan air around the heater core and up to the cab.

Now I have about 140 engine temp and 120 coming out of the vents at idle.
Now on to the exhaust fumes, "Damn this devil truck,..damn it to hell" (Charlton Heston in Planet of the Old Trucks)
