In his first post, he stated it had been rebuilt 4 times already.

Yep, the engine had already been built and built, and just needed to be retired. My question was should I get another engine or another Truck?
Got another Truck 03 KW W900L C-15 475 Cat Motor. Was not sure I would like making payments, but after haaving it for 5 months, man I wish I had done this sooner. I have to make payments, but it is running and running, as where my 85 was breaking down and down and down. But when I started doing this (Hauling Logs) I wanted to start out cheap in case this was not for me, and I did. It served the purpose that I needed and it was time to move on.

I'd hate to even contemplate how much it would cost to put a computer controlled engine into a 1985 pre-computer truck. Somehow, I think dropping a new engine in there is out of the question. I doubt there's many places that have new or newer pre-computer engines just lying around.
Thes guys do it all the time. Used or reman electronic engines are readily available. Another example of the Revs BS

I sold the 85 for $5000. After having the 03 KW for a few months now, I whish I had done this long time ago. Even though I have payments, I have come out better by paying payments and running steady, than no payments, breaking down weekly, missing loads and payning repair bills.
I never thought I would like paying payments, but I did have a money pit.
