I also use a % fuel cost to gross, on a weekly, monthly, and yearly bases.
I consider 20%-excellent, 25%-good, 30%-fair, and anything below that-poor business practice. You either burning to much fuel, or hauling too "cheap!"

For example;- fuel/gross-$1,000/$5,000-excellent, $1,000/$4,000-good,
$1,000/$3,000-surviving...
The above examples, for dry box, long and medium haul, at about current fuel prices!

1st Quater $5567 or about 17%
I am home every day by 2pm and don't work Saturday
I'm Local, with an occasional trip here or there.
Average gross settlement $2600
I edited my figures. Originaly posted figures to end of April.
Redid it for end of March.
I posted more details on Cams thread.
