The previous poster mentioned Oklahoma- I was curious what the advantage of Maine is for trailer plates? I see a $#!+load of Maine plates, and I know there's diddly-squat for freight originating there.

Probably quess easy to file....dang I was so jealous when Steve mentioned how easy his was, and he is in the same general area.
By contrast I am from LA...So Cal area.....I walked in and asked the lady(after waiting thru an hour line) may I plz file for IRP? She gave me a big 50 page packet (looked like my calculus course outline from my first year at M.C.U.) n said, 'Im too busy to help you....bring it back when your done and all i do is collect the $ and forward it to Sacramento, if its not correct, thats YOUR problem, I dont correct them. I went to an agency the next day and paid a wopping 2,600, but at least it appears to be done right, and they said appx 500 of that was to be in this great, 'BIT' system ca runs (hmmm I cal it the this bites system) The good part tho i dont have to pay that 1 next year...just a one time fee....hmmm OK here i come.
