tombstone... i just want to say good luck.. dont pay any attn to attacks or negative responses. i didnt take your post as wanting to get out of anything concering your kids. sometimes your kids can receive more if you find a way to give personally along with the child support deal. you may give x amount of $ to a court ordered paymt, but how much of that goes for the child & to the child ?. there are many irresponsible mothers , just like there are fathers. your probably the type where you dont mind paying for college tuition for your kids. you'd just rather make the check payable to the college & not the ex. my best....

You will not be giving her any of the money you will be saving for your kid’s college at this time in their life. Some states, I don’t know about all but here in Indiana they assign a percentage of the weekly cost to raise the children, and this goes by how much each parent makes. In my case I pay for 59% and my ex pays for 41% and I have physical custody of the 2 kids. When it comes to college we are responsible for those same % mentioned above. College is over and above the amount of your child support, so the ex can’t touch it anyway! You have to understand, the way your post looks, it sounds like your trying to hide how much you make to lower your child support! In the state of Indiana they are very strict about what it costs to raise a child. In my case the court figures it will cost 306.00 a week to raise my 2 children. Now with her parenting time credit of 50.00 a week she is ordered to pay 75.00 a week. You’re lucky you don’t live in Indiana, because your support lasts until they turn 21!! There are ways to stop the payments but that is another story. Maybe you could better explain what your ex and your Childs college money has to do with having the truck in someone’s name but your own.. Maybe I am wrong, but you need to better explain what this all has to do with your 1st post. I would like to understand.

It doesn’t make a difference if she can save or not, you still have to do your part of the cost to raise your kids! I’m not trying to put you down, but it’s not up to you what part of the cost of raising your kids is. They will not make you give her money for their college. You say she makes 45k a yr, now lets say you make 45k a yr your %'s will be 50/50 see what I’m getting at? I don’t care what the other Yahoos on this board say, I was commenting from what you posted, "put your own equipment in someone’s name but your own???" and it sounded fishy! Again I’m not slamming you, but you need to explain why you really want to do this when you air your dirty laundry for the world to READ! This hits home for me, because too many parents try to skip out on anything they can, when it comes time to do their share after a divorce for their children... Please don’t be this way, and I pray you will do what it takes to help with your children…

As far as showing my AS#, I haven’t done this yet, but I can if you want, you have given enough ammunition so far!! I have asked you to enlighten me and the rest of this board as to why you want to hide the fact you own a truck from your ex, but you wont go into any detail, I wonder why???? I also think you have the net and gross thing mixed up in your mind. Remember with the gross you still have a income tax return that the court takes into consideration, as this is still income to be considered when figuring out what each parent makes. I thought I made it clear to you that I wasn’t trying to put you down, I just wanted to understand why you were doing all this sneaking around your soon to be ex wife. I guess until you explain, deadbeat will stick in my mind!! Remember this also, you have to fully disclose everything as far as what you own, and have or the court cannot protect it in the decree. Now tell us again why you are trying to hide assets from your soon to be ex wife, and make it good so we can believe you....lol The as# competition is on....lol

folks... concern is great.. accusation is another... i would hide money in a minute, if i thought i was going to get scewed by it's known exisitence. as being abandoned by my own father & never seing him or getting any child support, i disagree with deadbeat dads. but now having been happily married for 20 years & having 6 kids. i would always take care of my responsibilities. however if some one's ex has a new low life lazy boyfriend & money would go to the ex's new fling instead of the kids. well then yeah i would try & hide my money & find direct ways of getting funds to kids & not going to maybe a bad habbit of the new love in the ex's life.. a truck driver has a hard life. he spends most of the time on the road being away from the family, the ones he loves. because he loves them. he does it for them. but being away so much at times will put a strain on a marriage. if it ends in divorice it's real hard on the kids. i think that most drivers, in particulair on this forum are probably great people & good fathers with the best intentions. lets show support for one another. i really like this forum & appreciate every one on here. even when i disagree.. i feel fortunate to have so much advice from so many people & perspectives. i thank you all... now for the original post.. i wish i could help you with your original question instead of this sidebar discussion.

Let him answer the question so we can understand why he wants to do this. If the ex has a lo life b/friend, then go to court and take custody of the kids, simple. If you have to hide what you have, you’re not working hard enough to keep it!!!! Read the post Heavy, he wants to hide that he owns the truck, and you want to give him the benefit of the doubt, get real he wants to pay less child support or he wouldn’t even care if his soon to be ex knew he owned a truck!!!!! With what you have just posted, you of all people should understand what he is doing!!!

Okay, here it is...We married in 1997.. We started off as others do, happy and big hopes for the future..I had just got out and on my way into a career in trucking..Gone all the time as a usual driver and had some really good jobs..The best one I had was doing a California turn back to Texas once a week, and did that for over 4 years..One year I grossed over $45.000.00..I did not take over $280.00 a month in draws and the rest went to her to manage and the up keep of the kids..My monthly bills consisted of $700.00 mortage, $800.00 food, $100.00 water, $200.00+ electric, $430.00 van, $140.00 gasoline, $160.00 auto insurance..Now at $1000.00 a week gross and netting around give or take $800.00 plus, equals about give or take $38.000.00 plus net for the year....So now you take $33.720.00 from $38.000.00 and that gives you an extra $4280.00 left for the year..Not to mention like clockwork from the IRS, our earned income credit that was never under $3.500.00. Now that's $7780.00 total for clothes and running around and such...And this is just what I made and paid, with the exception of the earned income credit..See she is a Registered Nurse...She made decent money last year as well...We were always behind on our bills by 2 to 3 months....This is one of the reasons for divorce...She spends money on everything...This woman has a shoe collection that looks like she in the shoe business..What ever is out there when it comes out she has to have it..
Now, I have 5 daughters still at home..Only 4 are from me..The oldest she had from a previous relationship..However I know kids ain't cheap, cost of living goes up all the time..I am filing divorce on her because I can't stand it any longer..And yes, I know I will have to pay out the nose for support...NO PROBLEM...I just want to have them some funds for their future..Is that a sin?? My future ex wife will have zilch, nada, not one ioda of anything stored up for them... Now do you understand where I'm coming from??? I do not wish for her to BLOW their future off!! I can't make it any plainer than that!!! Thank you, T.
