Try Western Ins.; they seemed to be going by that method believe it or not, but keep an eye on the insurance company itself they use, to make sure they post your with FMCSA

The thing I would have done is keep a better eye on them , they said they posted my insurance with FMCSA, but they waited a whole week to do it. Dunno if they are fast at getting my cargo liabilty proof to brokers they will have redeemed themselves in my eyes.

Lots of good advice here. I agree about the lack of rear loading with a step....but it's a small price to pay for the ability to pull 10' H legally IMO. Most skateboard freight in my area doesn't pay squat anyway.
Also,on the side kit......if you really needed one, you could prolly rig one for a step. WRT your desire for a rolltite.....skip it. I'd rather retain the ability to pull wide loads. Good luck. You've got lotsa money in reserve you should be OK.

I agree on the advice,...you guys have been a ton of help,...someday I hope I can help out as well.
As far as the step,....man I really want to run one, I have another month before I have to decide, so I'll keep my eye out for a good used trailer.

I was out in Orlando today and I saw some really nice steps and flats, funny thing though,....they were all loaded running south, and empty headed north,...gotta love Florida  .
Not to mention the driver who placed his truck so close to my bumper that all I could see were his lights!! My little car only goes 65mph, but this guy was not even trying to pass me,...he just rode there for about 20 miles on I-4. I like to take lessons from people like him and make sure not to do that myself.

I sure hope someone was seeing what I was. I was glad when I got off at the exit. I always remember the time I came up on an accident near Albany, and there was a car under the front of a truck almost to the front seats.
