I'm an O/O and am very happy with my current company, however I want to team up with my wife who has a CDL but no experience.
My company won't except a driver with less than 2 yrs. experience so I find myself having to look for a company to accept both of us (me with 5 yrs. experence, and the wife with 0 experience). Who do you recommend?

FEDEX...
Thats a decent place if you aint splitting the money with the co-driver, fuel cap is at 1.26pg and 4000 miles per week, all drop and hook with the average load weight of 20,000.... Damn, i sound like a recruiter....

One of them is getting 1.05 with the fuel cap mentioned above, fedex is a decent company if you run team with your wife, they have FEDEX Custom Express where they pay percentage..i would never work there but some people are very happy..

Hmmm USX use to let trainers train their own wives, but I dont know if that applies to OP's....n you do have to be there a couple of months to get into their trainer program, even tho you just want to train your wife, they had a trainer going through the two day class to be a trainer just to train his wife only last time I was there.
No company anymore that I know if would let 0 experience drivers out with someone not a trainer anymore, the last I knew of was PST, but Stevens sounded like they might be doing something similar. try Stevens maybe? |
