I Need Some Advice
I'm an O/O and am very happy with my current company, however I want to team up with my wife who has a CDL but no experience.
My company won't except a driver with less than 2 yrs. experience so I find myself having to look for a company to accept both of us (me with 5 yrs. experence, and the wife with 0 experience). Who do you recommend? |
What are you pulling, Van, flatbed, something else?? It says your in Michigan, is this still the case?
|
I have moved from Michigan to the Dallas area, and I'm pulling dry van.

FEDEX...
Thats a decent place if you aint splitting the money with the co-driver, fuel cap is at 1.26pg and 4000 miles per week, all drop and hook with the average load weight of 20,000.... Damn, i sound like a recruiter.... |
4,000 a week for a team? I do that solo nearly every week. How much does FedEx pay?

One of them is getting 1.05 with the fuel cap mentioned above, fedex is a decent company if you run team with your wife, they have FEDEX Custom Express where they pay percentage..i would never work there but some people are very happy.. |
Hmmm USX use to let trainers train their own wives, but I dont know if that applies to OP's....n you do have to be there a couple of months to get into their trainer program, even tho you just want to train your wife, they had a trainer going through the two day class to be a trainer just to train his wife only last time I was there.
No company anymore that I know if would let 0 experience drivers out with someone not a trainer anymore, the last I knew of was PST, but Stevens sounded like they might be doing something similar. try Stevens maybe? |
