Default What do the Mexican trucks look like?

The question was asked on the now locked thread regarding mexican trucks running in the US, and shoot I really wanted to share pics from my trip to Mexico this past Jan with everyone because sadly one of teh highlights for me was looking for Mexican trucks to picture, lol

Anyway, here are some photos to give you an idea of what the trucks working in Mexico look like..

No flaming/name calling/ect that would get this topic locked please! Thanks guys 8)

Excuse the crappyness of the photos, I used a hunk of junk digital camera on the trip but at least you can get an idea of what they are driving over there

the U.S. DOT would love to see these trucks coming down the highway. What junk.

I see trucks worse than that right here in our own country ops: . Sometimes I can't believe how bad they are.
Cracked/dangling bodywork, bald tires, crooked frames, hanging lights, leaking fluids, broken out/cracked glass
Come on,...we have all seen them,..its not just Mexico.
I'm not flaming anyone, just commenting on the shape of some of the trucks running our own highways  .

I have to wonder what the requirments are to get your CDL in Mexico.. Do they run log books, have hours of service rules? I sure didn't see any DOT type #'s on any of the trucks, how do they "track" them for safety? Main thing I noticed (in Cabo anyway) was most every truck there was a) a flatbed or b) a dump truck. I'm also assuming they do not have any weight limits on trucks there. as many were clearly over filled (the dumps anyway). Just some random thoughts I had..

Couldn't tell from the picture, but they could be blocked up higher on the outside so as not to slip to the outside of the trailer. I do this with lumber a lot!!
