Default California freeze..

Anyone been to Cali. in these past couple of days, last week or so.
I just talked to my people and they say its a mess, cant get a load out of there at all, trucks everywhere and TA's in Ontario are smack full, they advised me strongly against heading out...

Anyone knows how long will this crap last?

Things should start to break a little about the Middle of March. It often gets better toward the end of February. This past year has been unpredictable. The slow time started early and may be with us for a while. I believe things will get better in March.

I have been running some produce out of the central valley, but I have had contracts with these shippers for some time. If you are relying on brokers, it will be a long wait.

Yeah, i heard you guys had it very bad these past couple of weeks with all the freezing up which in turn made it bad for us, they told me L.A. - Chicago is paying around 1800  at the momment which makes me wanna stay here at home more and more...

Am wondering how long will this freezing effect keep on taxing us?

These runs are not my bread and butter, just a little gravy.

They're saying most of the citrus is lost for this year with some damage to lettuce and strawberries. It's actually supposed to be good for the stonefruit once that starts going, but that's several months away yet. I've been keeping an eye on ITS just out of curiosity. I haven't seen more than 75 reefer loads posted in a long time, and the rates reflect it. Rain's supposed to be moving in at the end of this week.
