Mike....so much in so few words... now based on your pic: Pete>KW>Freightliner.. 8)

I know the generalizations about KW's workmanship and all but the rest of the components (driveline etc could be identical). It still seems that for two people plus dogs living in a space where the driver can lean over and lock the passenger door (almost), it just seems cramped compared to the roomier cab of the FL classic. I drive neither so I'm just throwin it up for discussion.

Now aerodynamics is a WHOLE 'nuther story.

Well I have driven most kinds of trucks,I started in a single axle cabover IH,I now drive the 379.I can say that I always used to laugh at people that said there was a big difference in trucks, but as of this moment based on what I have experienced I won't soon be going back to anything other than a Paccar product,my last truck was a W9 and the Pete and KW are just put toghther better IMO.

I would not however want to have another person and 2 dogs in the Pete, not enough room.

Well, the choice was Bo's he likes the KW. He has always wanted a KW and when the chance to get one came along he could not pass it up. The KW is a much better truck mechanically and yes it seems to have more quality to it BUT it does lack in space. I really didnt want to get back into a KW but I have made due.

The freightliner had MANY issues and was just made worse by putting a driver in it.

We are at the TA in wheeling WV today. We have to stay here till first light monday morning. There are 3 other combines here and a bunch of other oversize stuff. This is the end of the road so to speak....no oversize in PA or MD after noon Sat

We will unload Monday afternoon and then we are headed to NC for some R&R. It has been a while since we have been out of the truck!! we are going to do the final paperwork on the boat and spend a few nights on her. I found the camera so I will take pics!! No cell phone service there but the coffee shop does have wifi so I will update frome there....we will be getting a Verizon line soon I guess.

I'm home, bored and couldn't get a date tonight.

Just sit right back and you'll hear a tale,
a tale of a fateful trip.
That started from this NC port,
aboard this tiny truck.
Bo was a mighty Truckin' man,
Tootie brave and sure.
Gman, Teal set sail that day,
for a three hour haul, a three hour haul………
The road it started getting rough,
the tiny truck was tossed.
If not for the courage of the blue masked man,
Tootie would be lost; Tootie would be lost.
The truck took ground on the lot of this uncharted truck stop pit,
with Tootie, her husband too,
the G man, and his mask,
the Reverand, Yoopr and that floored chick,
here on Tooties slip.
