You can make it leased onto these big boys. The difference is that "making it" has different definitions for the guys that are leased to $.90 carriers than it does for some of us. You'll have no trouble paying your bills running for Crete and you'll put money away. I also wouldn't worry about purchasing through them. The contractor programs with these companies are actually pretty good, except for the pay. They're not going to yank loads from you to give to company trucks when things get tight. They make more when you pull the freight. I started out leasing to a big orange company. I'm putting a database together, when I get that year's info put in, maybe I'll post the bottom line and we can put all this to bed. Since nobody else ever seems to post reliable numbers from these arrangements.

I don't remember you asking for any help,maybe you did somewhere else and I didn't see it.We were just commenting on what you posted,unlike other post I think you were treated pretty fairly and given your props for doing some things right,we were just commenting on how we feel you could do better,but you continue to say things like "you have never been leased to this or that carrier so how do you know"?
Because maybe just maybe we have had a few more years experience and trials than you and we could be of great service if you wanted it and asked.

Wrong again. I did not post how much experience I have driving truck because again, I don't want to hear it.

I'll give you credit...you did something I hope to be doing when I retire from the Army, but if you don't like the way people respond or the "negative trolls" then take the higher road and don't post back. It was obvious, to me anyway, from your initial post that you had done research and come to a decision. In the end, all that really matters is that you're comfortable with the decision you came to with the amount and quality of that research and are willing to accept the consequences of your decision and actions from this point on whether they be positive or negative. I don't care who you are or how much experience or knowledge you have in the transportation industry. Going into ANY business involves risk. I wish you luck.
