Received a letter of intent to hire from a trucking company friday. It was sent to the trucking school the same day and then sent to my wioa program counselor, same day. Now im just waiting on approval. On pins and needles cant wait to start school.

Just FYI it was over 6 weeks for my WIOA Funds to be confirmed. Hope it works out faster for you.

I was hopping to have a few months under my belt before snow and ice.

Its not going to work out that way for me I will be on the road in December.

Wow. Why so long. They told me it shouldnt take more than a couple of weeks if my paperwork is correct. Did all the foot work for them. Hunted down a company that would give me a chance overlooking my past criminal history.. Basically i was told long as i can be employable after training they would pay for my training.

The WorkSource center was having training for 3 + weeks.
So my paper work sat on a desk until they finished.
It has paid off I start Wednesday Nov. 1st.

My biggest fear snow and ice shall be a reality for me.

So to all the seasoned drivers don't bitch too much as I drive sloooow on the snow.
PS I live in Southern California so snow was something you could visit at Big Bear and be home enjoying a sunset at the beach by the end of the day.
