New on here. I got my CDL in 2007. In September of 2015 I had an accident I was the only one involved. I was charged with a DUI. I was in my own vehicle. The charge was reduced to reckless driving. I live in Florida and from what I understand I can have my CDL reinstated. I'd like to get back into truck driving. Any advice from anyone would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

what you most likely will have to do is, go back to driving school for a refresher course. then have your CDL reinstated, as most likely you haven't driven a big rig in a long time, no one will hire you with out that refresher training. NEVER EVER mention the DUI that was reduced. that may very well compound your troubles. you will have a lot of doors to knock on, at the very least a company in the Carolina's named, Carolina Cargo....."may" give you another chance. but blow this one, kiss your ass good-bye forever. |
