Default Midwest Regional

I will be retiring from a nearly 30 year career in Law Enforcement and starting my second career in Trucking in a few months. I plan on going through CDL school at a community college that is near my home. Ideally I would like to get a regional job that I can be home on weekends or at least every other weekend.

Can anyone tell me names of companies that accept new drivers for regional driving in Central Missouri?

Most medium to large fleets either offer or are regional in nature. The issue is which one see their region as something real? Start calling and applying for companies NOW, make sure your training is accepted by them. Check out the Union and non-union LTL Carriers (local P&D and Line haul). Realize going in that "weekends off" almost universally means "34 hours off". Good luck with your choices.

Default LTI Trucking

I highly recommend LTI trucking out of St Louis. They are s small company, 100% no touch freight. They strongly try to treat drivers like family.
